This painting is an image of how I desire to approach life. I long to be like this child, sitting in my Heavenly Father’s lap as together we put the pieces life in place. He lovingly guides and directs me, revealing unique and beautiful things He set for me before I was born. I see Him fully engaged and attentive as we dream, construct, tear down and rebuild.

This is actually one of my favorite paintings because helps me meditate on having a childlike faith. So much of life is serious and overwhelming, but picturing as a puzzle I’m working on with my fathers help really changes my spirit. I am comforted to know that we’re together and He’s holding the pieces
