In a time of struggle, when I was feeling chaos in my spirit Abba gave me this image. He showed me a beautiful body of water and gently said: ‘I know you are weary. Take My hand. Let Me lead you by My still waters, let Me refresh your soul in stillness and in rest.’ This painting reminds me that when I feel chaos beginning to take control, perhaps it’s because I’ve let go of His hand.

In your times of chaos I want to encourage you to grab hold of Gods’ hand. I know there are so many other things that seems ssimplier and faster and more immediately comforting, but there is nothing that will bring true peace apart from him. Take some time to think through your own journey, your tendencies, your struggles, what you go to for comfort. Offer all of this to God and ask for His help in grabbing hold of His hand. If you have a bible with you, I encourage you to read through Psalm 23. He truly is our Good Shepherd, if we will allow him to be.
