I had a week where everything seemed to be falling apart: friends, family, and the world itself. I felt anxiety, a tightness in my chest and difficulty sleeping. I went to the Lord in prayer and this is what He gave me. He first showed me the bottom of the image: a battle, dark and chaotic, the soldiers walled in on every side. He told me, ‘This is where you are, attempting to fight the battles of this world, but I did not design you to be in this battle. I designed you to rise up on eagles’ wings, to soar over the battle. Above it is where you are able to see more fully. You can look beyond to the hope and beauty I have in store. Rise up, daughter!
What battles in your life are walling you in? keeping you from seeing the hope beauty that God offers? Maybe it’s time to step back, stop fighting and rise up in prayer, giving the battle over to the One able to handle it. Fix your eyes on Him and the hope He gives.
