This image was a gift from God and very personal to me. Painting it was a physical act of submission as I grieved and prayed over our journey with infertility. Through my brush I declared that God is Sovereign. He is the giver of life, the One who knits children together in their mother’s womb. With many tears I submitted my heart to Him, accepting what He gives and His timing. I praise God that this image has been able to touch so many other hearts. I dedicate it to all who long, mourn and pray over life, a precious gift of God. Thank you for letting me share my heart with you.

As you meditate on this painting I encourage you to make it personal. This could represent you, beautifully knit together in your mothers womb. It could be your child, your grandchild, niece or nephew, born or absent. For me, this is my child. The one I have never had, but have given to God. All life is in Gods hands and is precious to Him.
